When Kyla Sang Hero On That's Entertainment

There Kyla was on the boob tube as a teener on the now defunct That's Entertainment show. Most mainstays there would sing in lipsynch but not her. Host German Moreno proudly introduced Kyla as a new member who would dare sing her version of Mariah Carey's "Hero" live. And she did splendidly. She stood out from her batch of mediocre performers. I already saw her perform weekly in another defunct show, Tanghalan Ng Kampeon, as a weekly junior champion, but I was surprised to have seen her break through the amateur singing contest mold that time.
